As it turns out, one cannot simply disappear for several months and expect everything to be in order upon their return.
But Susan has friends now. Particularly, a friend who can give her a cat Pokemon that can spontaneously produce gold coins. It's a power to be used sparingly, as she has no desire to attract attention from anyone ever again, but it all ends up with her owning her first real house, a small place out in the English countryside, full of cats and the odd fire-breathing alien creature. She hasn't got any close neighbors. It's for the best; she likes to let her pets wander, and that includes the Pokemon. Some of the locals nearest still avoid her - all she's done is gone from the crazy cat lady in Flat Three to the crazy cat lady way out in the middle of nowhere - but that's alright. They don't matter.
She keeps busy; that's important. Her memory never fully recovered, but she recalls enough to pick up her blog again. Her followers had been worried about her. Reconnecting with forgotten friends is a bit trickier, but she makes it all work as well as she can manage. It's harder now, with all the traveling and the strangeness. She never tells anyone alive about where she's been all this time.
But things settle into normalcy, as they tend to. Her house is always open to other survivors of Graceside, of course.* Susan isn't entirely accustomed to playing hostess, but it's a nice, quiet place to get away for a while.
* Excluding a few, but they know who they are and probably don't want to come see her anyhow.
